The Daintree Rainforest Retreat is a small, boutique, friendly resort suited for those who prefer a more personal touch, not only in room comfort but also the best holiday advice.

Only 90 minutes North of Cairns and 45 minutes North of Port Douglas.The only place where two World Heritage listed National Parks meet, theDaintree/Cape Tribulation National Park and the Great Barrier Reef Marine park.

Our quiet 12 Unit Retreat rests on 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of tropical gardens in which lives a wide variety of wildlife that often come to visit our guests whilst they are relaxing or enjoying a barbeque. The tropical gardens hold many botanical wonders such as the many varieties of bromeliads, orchids, king ferns, exotic & rare palms, vanilla trees, huge fig trees, spectacular vines etc etc and is a very inviting relaxing place, to while away some time.

he Retreat suites reflect the environment in which we live, with bright airy decore, high ceilings with fans, kitchenettes, cloud comfy queen size beds or lounge chairs and cane chairs on the verandas. We also have a large swimming pool open all hours.

If you are lucky enough to bring back a Barra! or a Reef fish, make use of our free gas barbeque.  If not, perhaps buy a crocodile, kangaroo or beef steak to grill on the barbeque yourself!  

ow Bay boasts some fine restaurants, (including our own Tree Frogs Restaurant), and cafes all within easy walking distance from the Retreat and some will even cook your catch for your dinner.

The pristine Cow Bay beach, only 5 minutes by car, a delightful bike ride of 15 minutes or a leisurely stroll of 30 minutes is typical of the Daintree Coast, where the RAINFOREST meets the REEF. Get away from the crowded beaches of the south, stretch out on the golden sands to add to your tan or sit back and enjoy the scenery under a shady tree only metres from the water.
