World Heritage listed Low Isles
Our very, very, favourite Island to explore is Low Isles
You can see it on the drive up here!
You can see it from Mt Alexander Lookout!
You can see the lighthouse, day and night!
You can see it from our Beach House!
You have GOT to see it up close!
You have GOT to see it from under the water!
The Low Isles are a World Heritage listed duo, of two sandy Coral Islands, with a wonderful old lighthouse in the centre. This Tropical paradise has an easy 10 minute walk to circumnavigate the Island, along pristine Golden sandy beaches. There is a large Torres Island pigeon rookery on the nearby mangroves, but the best, the Island is known for its Turtle Hot Spot, with the bonus of the most colourful Coral Gardens to Snorkel over! As the island is so shallow the Suns rays penetrate down to the very bottom allowing light to get to the 150 species of soft and hard corals. There are numerous Turtles, Reef Fish, Giant Clams, Squid, Reef Sharks the list goes on forever!
Perfect for young families as the kids can snorkel straight out from the Island, you dont need to jump off thr back of the boat. Perfect for experienced snorkelers looking for pristine colourful corals and fish!
