Fans of the great out doors and Queenslands Coast will remember the luckiest man alive Ben Southall, who had the "Best Job in the World" as the Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef in 2009.

Ben’s new adventure, is a voyage of discovery, along the Great Barrier Reef! This 1600km Sea Kayak journey from the Town of 1770 begins on May 21st 2011. Ben will paddle and sail North to Cooktown, retracing the route of Captain James Cook in the HMB Endeavour. Ben should reach Cooktown in mid September.

Ben will be off our shores here from Friday 12th August (Cairns) and the Daintree Coast around the 1st to 8th September! Ben is lucky enough to be able to spend a few days on our favourite Island the Low Isles just of our Coast. You can easily see the Low Isles from our Coral Sea Island views Beach House.

Ben should arrive in Cooktown (the end of his journey) on or around Monday 12th September. We will be a couple of fans to greet him!!

Bens Mum & Dad will be having an adventure of thier own following their Son by camper van and GPS!
